Original music composed by St. Alphonsus Liguori (1696-1787), founder of the Redemptorists, is played during the reading of the Rosary and the twenty meditations, also by St. Alphonsus. A majority of the meditations are taken from his great spiritual masterpiece, The Glories of Mary.
The 2-CD set is dedicated to Our Mother of Perpetual Help, the name by which the Redemptorists make the Blessed Mother known throughout the world, as stipulated by Pope Pius IX in 1866.
